Allow filtering by account type in Net Worth
Some of my accounts, like my retirement accounts, are special because I cannot withdraw from them without a mandated-by-law penalty. It'd be nice if I could filter these accounts out of my net worth.
Reverse month column order in Net Worth Tracker
Update the view to show the current month first and scroll to see later months
Show chart of total budgeted vs total expenses
We used to have this chart in the old Trends page, let's bring it back!
Organic Investment Charts
It would be cool to know how much money went from your cash into your investment accounts each month. It's basically a sum of how much money you actually invested (not including any dividends or appreciation). It's a statistic that I am using to reach my FIRE goal, so I have a specific amount I need to invest each month to make that goal.
Show liability balances as negative
On the Net Worth Tracker when viewing "By Account", debts show as positive values however they seem like they should be negative values - at least in terms of Net Worth. Is it possible for debts (loans, credit accounts) to be shown as negative throughout the Net Worth Tracker (tooltips, tabular data)?
Exclude categories from saving rateth
I currently use a category called Capital Change to track changes in investment accounts. (up or down) (I cannot link these so need to track this manually). I have this setup as an income to avoid listing it as an expense. However this means it gets treated as an income for the saving rate calculation also. I use saving rate to determine how much of my earned income I have saved, so do not really want this to include investment income. It would be awesome to have an "exclude from saving rate" option on the categories page. ________ Alternatively, please let me know if there's a better way to track this? I guess could simply update the balance for the account in account setup. This avoids polluting the income total / saving rate, but means I cannot see the history of the account.
Grouping personal spend vs investment spend
I have several properties and expenses associated with them. I'd love to be able to analyze my personal expenses grouped purely by what I earn in W-2 income and what I spend on myself. I'd love to be able to analyze the rental properties separately. If I could do some quick views on transactions and networth for personal use vs transactions and asset value for real estate, that would be amazing. I'm imagining flipping between a holistic view, personal spending view, real estate view, individual property view, etc. I'm a new user so if this is already possible please let me know. I feel like some of this is possible but am probably not quite grokking lunchmoney.app yet.
