Hello Lunch Money team,
I recently migrated my budget from another budgeting application to Lunch Money and have been enjoying how intuitive and clean the transactions interface feels. It makes manual entry and review straightforward, which is important for how I manage my budget.
One feature I found particularly valuable in my previous setup was the ability to see a running balance per transaction line within the transactions view, showing the account balance immediately after that specific transaction was recorded. This made it much easier to confirm that each entry aligned with my account balance and to quickly spot discrepancies while entering or reviewing transactions.
I currently enter all transactions manually, as I prefer not to rely on third-party connections to my bank or investment accounts. For users who work this way, a running balance on the transactions screen provides immediate feedback and confidence that the ledger remains accurate, without needing to switch views or perform separate calculations.
Adding an optional running balance column (which could be hidden for those who prefer not to see it) to the transactions screen would, in my view, be a meaningful improvement for manual-entry users and anyone who regularly reconciles their accounts. It would make it easier to verify that each transaction aligns with the expected account balance, help users catch errors immediately as they enter data, reduce the need for corrections later, and provide a clear, continuous view of cash flow over time.

Currently in the Finances > Transactions View, when you select an account, it will show the Filtered Total, Average Amount, and Total transactions. Can we please get the account balance as well? It will make things easier when reconciling accounts and a more focused account view.

Please show the account balance on transactions when filtered. If possible give the running balance of the account for each transaction.

Sir,
I am a new user. Please see attached screenshots from other applications.
Is it possible that the balance in every transaction entry is as shown in the attachment?
Thank you for your assistance,
Ashraf

Please add this feature, it would be very convenient to see the balance before/after each transaction.

just started with Lunch Money, but can't see a "running total" for checking account,
just money coming in / going out.
am I missing something?

When looking at transactions for a specific account, it would be very helpful to have a column that shows the running account balance for each transaction. Currently, I have to go to another screen and it only shows the final balance. This will allow me to troubleshoot if a specific transaction is causing an error in the account balance.

Yes, please. It's so frustrating not to see how much money is in accounts without going to the home page and only seeing the total.

I would love to see in every row how the balance of an account is increasing or decreasing, is that not possible?
