+1 from me — this would be a vital feature.
I’m a freelance consultant, so my income is variable and doesn’t arrive on a perfectly predictable schedule. A cash flow forecasting view based on recurring items and budgets would make it much easier to plan the current month while keeping an eye on upcoming “big hits” — especially tax payments, which can be substantial and occur in specific periods.
It would be amazing if you could implement it similarly to Quicken Simplifi’s Projected Cash Flow feature: a daily projected account balance into the future, with an alert when the forecasted balance drops below a configurable threshold. That “early warning system” is exactly what’s missing in many personal finance tools (especially for users outside the US), and it would be a huge differentiator for Lunch Money.
Thanks for considering it — happy to provide examples or test a beta if useful.

Hi, would very much like to request this feature too. It would be really helpful in planning my expenses if I know I can pull out cash without it impacting my monthly bill payments.

Currently 90% of the transactions in my checking account are recurring transactions, about a third of those are recurring credit card payments with variable amounts—I run all of my purchases through credit cards to maximize rewards points and pay them off each month.
My current workflow (with MoneyWiz) is to review credit card statements every month and post the monthly payments in advance to my chequing account. These then get matched (or more often not matched) when the transactions are harvested by Plaid. I do the same with my income since my income is fixed. This allows me to project my bank balance at any given moment in the near future and make sure I’m always above the minimum.
It would be great if Lunch Money could support this.

Is there any news on this?

Would like to expand budget to be able to serve as a cash flow projection as well

This would be a great feature to provide future insight on my finances! I already do this on a spreadsheet so it would be great to have it done for me based on parameters that are already in lunch money (budgets and planned income).
