Add a "fees" field for transfers

Some transfers between accounts incur a fee. At the moment when creating a transfer transaction, it's 100% transfer of value from one account to the other.
It would be good to have a field to input the fee for the transaction and have transaction fees as data to reference later (ie for tax return or just seeing how much money is being spent in transaction fees) and of course to keep account totals correct.
Currently the only way to emulate this is to create the transfer, then edit the amount of the outgoing transfer to add the fee. Then the grouped transaction correctly shows a negative value from the fee incurred.

Is this for automatically ingested transactions, or for manual transactions? It sounds like you are manually adding the transaction in your example.
So why not just add 2 transactions - one negative, and one positive. You can choose whether you put them both under the same category if you want it to apply to the category of the primary transaction, or you could put the fee in its own category.
If you put them in the same category then you could use a tag "Fees" to tag the fee, and then you can search and sum by the tag.
I also use tags like "Sold" for items I sold on eBay and Facebook, so I can sum the amount of income from selling things, even though they're in a variety of different categories.

I'd like to be able to enter a transaction fee when creating a transfer. Some of my accounts have online transfer fees as well as ATM withdrawal fees.
