More data on e-Transfer (Canada)

In Canada, most people use something called Interac e-Transfer instead of Venmo or PayPal. Right now, the transactions look like "SEND E-TFR ***en8" but on the bank sites you can usually get more context and information. Would be nice to somehow be able to import that data as well!

Completely agree. As an accounting system it's important to be able to preserve/view the audit trail, so please preserve the original data in a read-only field.
This will also make people less reluctant to actually make changes such as consolidating Payee names. If I do this now I'll lose valuable reference information that's embedded in the payee field.
Likewise, deleting transactions should hopefully not be permanent.
(Ideally the information you view is completely generated your custom set of rules and operations on the raw data - so you can re-run those rules on the same raw data and get the same results - this way nothing's deleted, and you can make sweeping changes and do what-if scenarios without worrying.)

I think what would be nice is to permanently save transaction import data in a dedicated non-editable field rather than having to use the Payee or Description for this and losing that data whenever I want to enter my own Payee / Description data.

Derrick Nnaji Any fields in particular you feel are missing?

Jen: Hey Jen! Basically the raw transaction description. A spot on the transaction details or a hover of the payee should work.

Jen: A good example is that my wife and I have two different debit card numbers. So when she makes a purchase from Amazon for instance, the raw bank transaction shows the last four digits of her card so we can know which transaction was whose. This could also be used to trigger budget rules. Even being able to hover over the transaction to see the raw detail that was imported would be great.
