Have the option to auto-tag categories or category groups

I have categories like groceries, bills, date night that always involves me an my partner and so they all have the same tag being "both" which means its a joint expense. It would be more efficient if we have a toggle option to allow specific categories or category groups to be auto-tagged to one or more tags.

Hey there!
You can use Rules to have transactions automatically tagged based on the category. To do this, when setting up the rule, select "Matches category" under 'If..' and "Add tags" under 'Then..'.
Make sure in this case to also enable "Run rule on transaction updates" to ensure the tag gets applied when you update the category on existing transactions as well.
You may also want to enable the "Stop processing other rules" property if you have other tag rules that you want to prevent from running afterwards. Just make sure to set the priority with a higher number than the other tag rules, so that this one runs first.
