On the Budget page, add a toggle under Budget Settings that allows users to adjust 'Left to Budget' to reflect category overspending in the current period. When enabled, 'Left to Budget' would be calculated as Budgetable - Budgeted - Overspend.

This would be useful for users who intentionally leave some of their budgetable inflow unallocated. Initially, the difference between Budgetable and Budgeted represents the amount that could potentially remain unspent at the end of the period; as overspending occurs, deducting it from Left to Budget provides a more realistic view of how much could ultimately be left over or saved.

This effectively shows the optimistic starting point and then adjusts it downward as the period progresses and activity goes over budget in categories.
