Increase visual distinction between categories and the group they live in

Jon Eckert
On the budgets or categories table, the group rows look the same as the standard category rows, making it difficult to parse. It would allow me to more quickly scan the list of budgets / categories if the category groups were more visually distinct from the child / ungrouped categories. Possibly give the group a heavier font weight or use a different background color for group rows.
I've mocked up a quick example of what mean. Thanks!

It would be great to see main categories (Home, Auto etc) as bolded or with a grey background to differentiate them from the sub-items that they contain, to graphically differentiate the two.

My current approach is to make all category groups CAPITALIZED. It works well enough for my needs.

Yes. And there must be a way to budget by the main category like the current budget feature has.

I agree that this would be helpful. I have entered my Category Groups in all caps to provide some visual distinction from the categories, but Jon's suggestion would be better.
