This feature is now live for all to use! You'll need to enable the "Allow modifications to transactions" setting from the Accounts page, or there's a shortcut if you click into a transaction and hover over the (?) icon next to the "Amount" or "Paid from" labels.

When you merge a manual account into a synced account, the amounts for those merged transactions can no longer be edited.

It'd be nice to add an

external_source

field to transactions in addition to

external_id

and use it as the reference for plaid mutation constraints rather than

plaid_account_id

. That way people wouldn't have to go through the trouble of creating a separate account and merging it - we could just write transactions to the plaid account to begin with.
