To add to this, I've found a very useful feature in one of the mobile apps -- an option to either automatically add repeated transactions, or manually "approving" them.
So basiclly each time a planned transaction is due, I'd get an infobox or somethijng saying "Hey, you got a planned transaction for today. We doing this?" And options to accept or skip it.

I agree, marking a recurring item as "not expected" for the current period would be a great feature

One request: generalize this to weekly or other non-monlthy cadences.
I'm seeing a bug where when I introduce a weekly recurring item (meal kit), lunch money expects all weeks in that first month to have a meal kit delivered even if the first weekly bill was mid-month. I don't see to be able to delete these expectated deliveries.

Jamie Madill: Jen from Lunch Money, please generalize this to weekly as described in this comment if you can! Either that or allow us to choose exact start and end dates instead of defaulting to the 1st and last day of the chosen months for the active period. Or allow us to zero out/ edit the expected amount individually for each date of a recurring item. In fact, it would be nice to edit the individual dates as well, with the prefilled dates/ amounts as suggestions based on the recurring rule.

Jamie Madill: One work around I've found is to make a zero-dollar cash transaction for the date you aren't actually expecting the recurring transaction, then linking it to the recurring item! This removes it from your expected expenses at least!

Would also be nice to be able to move a recurring item. For example, a twice a year bill that I decide to pay 1 month early.
