I have a fractional CFO and a Tax Strategist who would love to be able to use my categorizations and run their own analysis. Even if it was via Zapier or something annoying and expensive like that LOL it would still be a massive help :)

I don't think any competitors allow attachment exports so it's not really a decision maker for me but it is something that's crossed my mind with everyone now, given that you have on the one hand Mint shutting down with all the institutional support they (should have) had from Intuit, and on the other this xz utils situation where the lone developer got burned out and his software repo was essentially hijacked. I want to be careful of course and not come off like one of those sockpuppet accounts that was harassing the guy for lack of development. I agree with Jesse's point of view, that's all.

Lack of general export is the main thing holding me back from fully buying into Lunch Money. Avoiding vendor lock-in, doing regular backups, and being able to occasionally do custom data analysis across all my accounts are all important to me. I know it is counterintuitive, but giving people like me that value freedom an exit option makes us more likely to stay!

I agree with Jesse although it's not holding me back from using Lunch Money though. But having this feature would definitely be a huge plus.

Or allow export of only the file attachments would be very useful too…
