Improve keyboard accessibility

For overlaying modals / dialogue windows: Focus should be trapped to the modal so pressing tab doesn't navigate elements behind it. Focus could also be defaulted to the primary action by default so that users can press enter when a modal pops up.

Minimize the number of pop-up modals

Modals feel disruptive and also don't play well with keyboard navigation. IMO pop up modals should be avoided as much as possible. The new transaction entry can just be a row in the table (similar to YNAB) and filters can be shown as chips in the quick search box

HI Lenny. I agree that there are a lot of little things that could make keyboard navigation easier in Lunch Money! Some people in the developer community have created a Chrome extension that helps with this. It's not exactly seamless (the extension is not yet in the google store so you have to clone a github repo and load it from your local machine), but it does work and the community is actively working on it.
If you have customers looking for better keyboard navigation you could point them to this: https://github.com/adamtaylor13/moneymover
