Older transactions not being returned from API V2

For example, in the attached screenshot I am querying all transactions from 2018 with the start_date and end_date parameters. I have 785 transactions in LM for this period. When I change the dates to 2025-01-01 to 2025-12-31 I get 703 results which sounds about right.
