The recurring rule that is set up when a twice-a-month, every-two-weeks, or once-a-week recurring item is created, will have the day parameter set only around the anchor date (aka. expected billing date). This means that only one transaction per month gets automatically linked to the recurring item.

The quick solution would be to set the date range to match for any day of the month.
