Category switches when submitted

When I add a transaction and submit it the category changes to another category on the list. I have to go back in from the transactions page to change the category back to the intended category.

Hey Kaitlyn! It sounds like you may have a rogue rule set up, that is overriding the category selection every time. Could you please check the Category Rules page to confirm if there are any rules that could be automatically changing the category? You can also check a transaction's change history to see what caused the category change:
- Open the Transactions page
- Click the arrow to the right of the transaction row to open the Transaction Details panel on the right
- Scroll down to the 'I want to...' section and click on 'View change history'. You should then see a list of dated actions that took place.
If that's the case, and the rule was created unintentionally, you can go to the Settings page and disable the 'Auto-create rule when updating category' preference. This will prevent new rules from getting created automatically.
